Description
Tasting Notes
Classic Cabernet Franc. Delicate, floral and spicy. This was our second vintage of Cabernet Franc and we love how distinct and fragrant this wine is. Drink now but, allow it to age for maximum enjoyment.

Vineyard Notes
2017 tracked right along our long-term average temperatures. It seemed like it was going to be another hot vintage, but the weather mellowed, and we were left with average temperatures. We had some major fires nearby and the smoke cloud ended up moderating some of the hotter weather we were anticipating. After we got started picking in September the weather took a slight cool turn and allowed all our grapes to hang as long as we needed. So far things are tasting great from this vintage.
Winemaker Notes
I love getting to make all the different varietals we grow at the vineyard. We have been making a little Cab Franc each year for blending and this year we had enough to showcase this on its own. I’m still figuring out how to best express this grape on its own. The vineyard naturally produces fruity rich fruit which makes things a little easier on my end. I love the lighter side to this varietal. It has a lot of complexity.
