Description
Tasting Notes
Bursting with tart red berries, dried cherries and currants, earth and spice. It takes a moment to open up but reveals oak, light tobacco leaf, and more red fruit notes. The finish has some smooth tannins that last.

Vineyard Notes
2017 tracked right along our long-term average temperatures. It seemed like it was going to be another hot vintage, but the weather mellowed, and we were left with average temperatures. We had some major fires nearby and the smoke cloud ended up moderating some of the hotter weather we were anticipating. After we got started picking in September the weather took a slight cool turn and allowed all our grapes to hang as long as we needed. So far things are tasting great from this vintage.
Winemaker Notes
I can count on the Cabernet we work with to be top notch each vintage. The hot 2017 vintage didn’t disappoint. This has the classic cherry notes and a real sense or earth and terroir.
Limited to only 56 cases, or about 2 barrels it is going to be a great deal. The Horse Heaven Hills is known for Cabernet Sauvignon and this is why.
